GoPro have done it again, with the release of the all new GoPro HD HERO3. 25% lighter, 30% smaller and much more powerful than the HERO2. Available in three editions, the HERO3 range of cameras will suit any sports camera user, from the entry level consumer and hobbyist to the professional videographer.

With major improvements to optics and audio the HERO3 captures much crisper and vivid videos, photos and audio. Boasting a huge variety of video resolutions and frame rates and some absolutely awesome photographic modes the HERO3 is a must have.

The GoPro Wi-Fi BacPac has been out in the US for a couple of months and we are still patiently awaiting its arrival in Australia. Luckily this highly anticipated GoPro accessory is not too far away. GoPro have indicated that we will see the shipment arrive sometime this month, so fingers crossed there are no more delays.

The Earth Wind and Water team have been lucky enough to get a demo unit of the Wi-Fi BacPac Combo Kit. We received it about a month ago and only just recently had a chance to get it out in the dirt and mud to really put it through its paces. Upon its arrival we unboxed the BacPac and ran the appropriate firmware updates on our GoPro HD HERO and HD HERO2 cameras, as well as updating both the BacPac and the Remote with their latest firmware updates using Cineform studio.

After a long wait after its announcement and many holdbacks and delays, GoPro have updated the release date details for the new GoPro WiFi BacPac and remote. Now to be released in June 2012, we should see this awesome new accessory hit our shores sometime in late June or early July. This is not an accurate guestimate, as we have not been given an exact release date in June as yet.

Going off the delivery timeframe on the GoPro Dive Housing, speculatively, we should expect to see stock 3 to 4 weeks after the US release date of the BacPac. This is pretty exciting stuff, as this is the most highly anticipated product we have seen in a while. More so than even the GoPro HD HERO2, mainly due to the fact that the HD HERO2 was a surprise release.
